Why functional exercises body weight?

Body weight exercises are often excluded from exercise programs to free weights or machines. There are many reasons to exclude these beneficial exercises. Some think they are ineffective in achieving its objectives, others find them uncomfortable and difficult and prefer to spend time on the machines. Finally, there are those who can be rehabilitated muscles due to surgery or injury.

We employ the use of bodyweight exercises for the following reasons:

Are natural functional movements.
These are compound exercises. In addition to working specific muscles, involve many other muscles.
Improve and develop neuromuscular pathways.
Since you involve more muscles will need more oxygen which gives a profit of metabolic conditioning.
Natural functional movements
Our bodies are designed to move and function in a natural way. By exploiting these natural movements, the risk of injury is reduced as long as we use the appropriate form. We become functionally strong as we age benefits. Finally, natural functional movements, we can achieve a high level of overall fitness that keeps us prepared for life contingencies.

Compound exercises
Body weight exercises are mostly compound exercises. This means that not only primary or work specific muscles, synergistic muscles also work well. Look at the push-up as an example. When you assume the starting position, you are involved in a series of muscles, especially in the abdominal area. But that's not all, you commit your glutes, hamstrings, lower back, and all the specific muscles. That's a lot of work, and all you do is assuming the position of push-up. Now when the exercise is performed, all these muscles in a functional way which leads to a better ability to work performance.

neuromuscular pathways
Compound exercises involve different muscles to help perform the exercise. This contributes to the development of neuromuscular pathways. Your brain is said these muscles to get with it and help in the movement. It's deeper for those who are just starting an exercise program, or are new bodyweight exercises.

metabolic conditioning
The body weight compound exercises require blood to fuel the muscles being developed. At the same time, we need to provide oxygen in the blood. Therefore, you will breathe much higher and deeper to perform these exercises versus isolation rate of muscles and more muscles are involved. Look burpees as an example of a set of muscles that work simultaneously, including the legs affecting the cardiopulmonary system. Burpees make you breathe.

Gather all items
Body weight exercises may seem difficult at first, but stick with them. Do not give up and head to the machines of the most comfortable muscle isolation programs. Once you conditioned by these natural functional movements, you can set routines in unique combinations and if eliminates the pause time, you can maintain a high level of activity that performs metabolic conditioning and also put pressure on the lens and synergistic muscles. This keeps the workouts short and intense, full and effective.
