1. Do not drink liquids during meals. It's against-intuitive and why most of us tend to do poorly (including before me correct). Drink plenty of water throughout the day and ideally 10 to 15 minutes before and after meals, but not during the meal!
2. Use protein shakes and snacks on the side (but not as a substitute for your main meal).
Protein shakes alone is not filling, and most people can not replace regular meals. So they are best used as mini-meal, before the main meal and later in the afternoon. So avoid these cravings afternoon and maintain consistent nutrition. You can also throw some flaxseed for extra fiber for more full.
3. Continue to drink plenty of water during the day (not eating) for your body to lose water and held fast boost your metabolism.
