How I Lost 23 Pounds in 26 Days!
It's amazing how easy it is to leave the paths in life. We are where we want to be, and then two or three years later, we find that we are in a completely different place. Not where we wanted to be and not knowing how we got there.
My name is Norman Davies. Gym was never really a big part of my life growing and seems to have gone through a regular cycle of ten years when my weight has increased to levels that simply do not feel at ease and gave me measures to re-line. Not like the yo-yo dieting rather just a regular schedule to forget what's important.
When I turned forty death of a friend really made me think about what was happening in my life and I decided to start to really take action. I started to run.
I like big goals and shortly after I started running, I decided to run a marathon. It was a great goal and I have completed my first marathon and many others. The thing about training for a marathon is to start with a basic range and then add an additional amount each week or two kilometers, and before you know you are running 42 km. It really is a step by step process and anyone in reasonably good health can complete a marathon - really.
This first marathon was an important step in the realization of a large high fitness. I would say about six years ago, I was in the best shape of my life. A 5'11 ", weighs 170 pounds and could run ten miles in the drop of a hat. He was strong and I felt really good.
Well, I'm not sure where it started, but in the last four years has shifted gradually from there. Some changes in stress in my life, it's hard to concentrate and I started to fall into old habits. Excessive drinking and eating too much and perhaps spend too much time with unmotivated people put me in a place I was not happy.
December 13, 2009 Enjoy a great shock. The type of shock that really looks at you life - all aspects of life.
Well, I looked at my life and I found that I had "mysteriously" disappeared to be a great place where I was fit and positive to a much worse place where it was heavy and not feel so great about my world .dropoff window
There is a great line from the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" where the main character says, "Get Busy Living or get busy dying" and as the character I decided my busy life.
I looked at all areas of my life, but the first was my form and my weight. I decided that I wanted to lose weight and get back to my healthy weight of 170 pounds. I also decided to stay fit and stronger than I've ever been in my life and I'm so fast!
December 13, 2009, I weighed 194 pounds and I set a goal to reach 175 pounds per day of the new year and to 170 as soon as possible thereafter.
This is what I did:
Now this is where I say to discourage this type of weight loss and you should consult your doctor, etc., but I knew he was healthy and had no underlying health problems and do nothing for I do not feel well.
So it was routine, I ROUTE 14 December 2009.
- Wake up and have a cup of American-style coffee with a tablespoon of brown sugar.
- Take a shower; dressed in my train and run a loop six miles from my house. Take a power gel with a glass of water just before leaving for my career.
- Back home again shower.
- Have a breakfast consisting of a banana and a couple of multivitamin and a cup of tea with milk.
- Learn to work at my desk at home or go to meetings.
- Lunch, which consisted of a bowl of fresh fruit.
- Dinner was a salad of lettuce, cucumber and tomato and a little beef or grilled tuna steak.
- Throughout the day, so I drank tea with milk or water with lemon juice I wanted.
- At night, I would take a long walk. Go anywhere from 5 to 10 km.
- In addition to running and walking would do exercises with a focus mainly on base and upper ball body strength.
That was it. On Christmas day, I had a good meal and two glasses of wine.
New Year weighed 175 pounds and 8 January reached my goal of 170 pounds!
I still maintain the same program, but I added calories and protein to build muscle and maintain my current weight. I also added a long career Tuesday night in my mix.
My goal will be to get very fit and healthy and develop long-term healthy diet and exercise I will continue to move in the same direction for the rest of my approach to life.
I feel lucky that in about fifty have no health problems and feel good physically and agile than I ever have in my life.
I do not think age means never having to age. I hope I can prove that to be true.
I also strongly believe that we need a strong physical basis for achieving other goals in life. The positive energy of being in a healthy way and draws people in good health and opportunities in our lives.
Watch the messages I continues until long journey.
