Saffron For Weight Loss?
If you are in the same Internet that I am, that might have been to see the claims as salt, saffron, is a weight loss product.
You may have never found directly saffron, but it may have had tea with saffron, saffron rice, saffron robe ... or, you may have heard the song Donovan (good name) in the 60s, "Mellow Yellow." In it, the singer admits, "I'm mad about saffron", apparently a girl with a hippie name.
However, despite possibly hear the word, most of us do not really know much about the actual spice.
So what is saffron, how it is used, and is actually good for weight loss?
Saffron is sometimes called "the king of spices." While this may have to do with its many different uses, many believe it is simply a reference to the way in which saffron is expensive. In fact, based on the weight, saffron is perhaps the most expensive spice.
Now this cost has less to do with the usefulness of spices, either. In reality, it is the result of long and costly process of spice extraction. It is a long process involved, resulting in a crude product which is currently sold at a site that I know 150 per ounce.
The advantage is, for all purposes, saffron requires very little work different numbers of their "magic".
Saffron (Crocus sativus) is used as an aromatic compound, a culinary herb, and in several preparations, as a health supplement ... generally in combination with other spices or herbs.
It has been used for centuries to relieve anxiety and increase serotonin production, even in the old days, users and herbalists do not really know why ... and then not know serotonin.
Higher levels of serotonin help elevate mood ... hence the possibility of restoring anxiety but how it works for weight loss.
