How Walking for Weight Loss Lost Me 46 Pounds of Pregnancy Weight
Walking to lose weight is a great way to lose weight after pregnancy. After my first baby, all I could think about was how to lose belly fat fast.
Well, he started walking. Lo and behold, walking helped me lose 46 pounds in seven months.
I'm one of those types of people that if the exercise is not strong enough, no way I'm going to lose weight. But immediately after Lucas, he could not escape. My body was not ready, and Lucas was not old enough to tolerate active movement in the stroller again. So I started with what I could do.
Start slowly
What I did was slow start. I started to walk for 20 minutes a day. Lucas had just put in the stroller, and we would go.
So I increased the time to 30 minutes. After my body got used to it, I increased to 45 minutes. So finally I started to walk for an hour every day.
It was a great feeling of exercise to burn fat. I was re-conditioning my body after pregnancy. I was back in shape.
Burning calories increased
I am also strengthening my leg muscles. Increased muscle helps burn calories. Superior burning calories means more weight loss. Well, as long as you do not take in more calories than they burn.
When you walk through the first 20 minutes, the body burns carbohydrates and fats. After the 20-minute threshold, the body burns primarily fat. The exercise of more than 20 minutes is a good reason to get your body in the process of fat burning.
Start with what you can
Too often, we want to establish these high goals high. "I will walk for an hour every day."
But something is happening and we can not go one day. The next day, we think, "Well, I was not yesterday, and as I am not, I feel bad Well could happen today .."
