Why Gastric Bypass Surgery is NOT the "Easy Way Out"

If you have had gastric bypass surgery, you will hear all the time: it was the "easy way out". Some even feel guilty for taking this option when they see others struggle to lose weight.

But weight loss surgery is not easy. And it can be maddening to listen to others reject your sacrifice as an easy solution.

So here are seven reasons why gastric bypass surgery is not the "easy road":

Hell Week. The days immediately after surgery are the most intense, unhappy experience imaginable. It was a major surgery and your body will not let you forget. The pain is bad enough, but fatigue is worse. Then there is the sudden withdrawal of food. You see it everywhere: family meals in advertisements. You will experience cravings growing anxiety to new levels. Hormone levels are a little crazy, and depression is common. Here vast mood swings. You can also feel like you are going crazy. All this leads to a bad case of buyers remorse. Why the devil did to my body? Of course, this despite contributes to mental distress. Hell Week can be as short as a few days or even weeks. And everyone goes.
Dumping. Most gastric bypass patients will experience at least once paid a little more often. Dumping occurs when food (not broken as fully as it was before surgery) between the small intestine too quickly. You start to sweat. You are nausea and you may even vomit. Or you might have diarrhea. And then you are tired and want to sleep. Is the most miserable feeling you can imagine, and will do anything to avoid experiencing again.
The elimination of food suddenly your life is traumatic. More than you can imagine. And it's not like you can drag and cheat as is done on a diet - at least not for long. It's like a close friend died. Then there are the emotional ramifications of that loss. You have to do "brain surgery" itself, discover why overate start and how to change destructive behavior. It can be very uncomfortable, although its long-term health.
Complications. Many potential complications and unpleasant side effects. You can develop surgical infections. You can develop gallstones and need their gall bladder out. You can get stenosis (incredibly painful!) And need more surgery. You can develop reactive hypoglycemia, blocking the exit of the bag (still very painful!) Foods or become constipated. Or you could have the painful smelly gas.
Vitamins. With gastric bypass, the part of your intestine that absorbs a large part of their neglected nutrients. So you should take a number of vitamins every day for the rest of his life. This can mean any 4-12 or more pills each day. If you take vitamins, eat or if you're not good enough, can develop life-threatening deficiencies. You may end up having to take regular injections or receive regular blood transfusions. Anyway, it's a walk in the park.
Protein requirements and water. In addition to vitamins constantly appearing, patients with gastric bypass should get 60-80 grams of protein and 48 to 64 ounces of water per day in a bag containing about one cup at a time. Say it is not easy and requires constant effort.
You still have to watch what you eat and exercise. This is the biggest myth out there - or to undergo gastric bypass surgery mean weight fall magic on you without effort. And while you can lose weight without exercise, if you want to see real results you have to move. And you can just put something in your mouth, either. Even if you happen to be one of the few who can eat anything without dumping unhealthy "lucky" foods will stop losing weight and begin to recover. As they will for someone else.

So you see, gastric bypass surgery is not easy. What is a tool - a tool that helps you succeed if you use it correctly. If you follow the advice of your doctor and your tool works correctly, you can actually see fantastic results: better health and a dramatic weight loss.
