What to eat to lose weight - Protein burns more fat than carbohydrates

It has long been a matter of whether or not foods rich in protein and carbohydrate foods are better for you when it comes to burning fat and losing weight. One wonders what to eat to lose weight in the whole controversy. The new research, however, may have an answer for us.

A small study now says that eating a high protein diet can actually help those who are obese or overweight burned more fat high carbohydrate diets. The study measured the effectiveness of the fat in overweight people burn compared to the thinner after eating a diet rich in those proteins. The results?

The ability to increase fat burning lasted up to eight hours after breakfast and lunch. Normal subjects have no problem to burn fat with food.



The protein given to the study subjects consisted of lean meats, eggs and dairy products low in fat. Was added thereto with vegetables and bread to a load of carbohydrates. Researchers have not taken a look vegetarian sources of this type of protein, but to plan for a future study.

Their recommendations? Try to increase the protein in your diet to include healthy protein sources such as low-fat dairy products, poultry such as turkey and chicken, beans, fish and nuts.
